Lower Antelope is a long, very deep slot canyon of mesmerizing beauty. This is the one of the best canyons for dramatic rock sculptures and extreme colorations. It is also one of the most photographed and popular, an endless opportunities to find shapes, forms, textures and dramatic light for abstract photography.

Although slot canyons are very beautiful, they can be deadly by flash floods during the occasional powerful summer storms. Flash floods can be caused by rain several miles away draining into the canyon.
